The collection is prepared under the decision of the Commission of Presidium of the Supreme Soviet RK, who investigated collectivization circumstances of an agriculture and mass destruction of the population at the end 1920th — the beginning of 1930th. The most part of documents is stored in the President?s Archives, Archives of the Committee of National Safety and departmental archives. Separate documents are revealed in archives of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan. All of them open circumstances of Stalin?s violent collectivization in Kazakhstan and its consequences.

The purpose of the collection — fully and comprehensively open the former events, to show not only a course of national front formation, but also the attitude to it of various layers of the Kazakh society, the international aspect of a colonial policy of tsarism in Kazakhstan and Central Asia, a position of liberally-democratic intelligentsia of Russia to the colonizer politics of autocracy, the punitive politics of tsarism, a refugee problem, etc.
The second volume is devoted to memoirs of participants of 1916 events.

Search of allies among representatives of the «white movement», a conclusion of the military and political union with the Temporary Siberian Government, Turkestani autonomy, the Bashkir nationalists, the Ural army government has made them participants of fratricidal civil war. The victories of the Red Army which have confirmed the ideological superiority of the Bolshevism at the beginning of the XXth century, have led to their union with Revolutionary Committee on direction of the Kazakh territory, so and with the Soviet authority.

In the first book there are documents, reflecting destiny of the Kazakh intelligentsia — representatives of the Alash movement in 1920 — 1928, originally, by virtue of the historical circumstances widely involved in process of social and economic transformations and construction of the new Kazakh State, and then, during strengthening totalitarian system — rejected by it.
The second book contains the documents testifying to aspiration of the Soviet authority by all means to get rid of dissidents, in particular from supporters of national idea, who disagreed with the class theory. Reports of interrogations of representatives of the Kazakh intelligentsia 1929 — 1932, letters «to the authority», the decisions of party bodies reflecting process of tearing away of the first galaxy party and statesmen of Kazakhstan by the authority, which came to the end with their physical destruction in 1937 — 1938, are published in the collection.
